FIVE WAYS TO INCENTIVIZE YOUR CURRENT CLIENTS TO REFER NEW BUSINESS

What's better than your business running off of word of mouth and referrals?

…I'm waiting... Nothing, right? 🤷🏽‍♀️

My (and Rihanna's) motto is: "TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO PULL UP" 🔈

Here's five ways you can incentivize your current (or past clients) to refer your services to their network of colleagues, family and friends:

1️⃣Give referral bonuses! Who doesn't want free money? I know I won't complain. I personally extend this offer to my current clients for their referrals that sign a project, and the referral amount is applied to their next invoice.
2️⃣Feature a customer of the month! For those clients who have basically kept you in business, give them a little shout out on your page and encourage your followers to show them some love. No doubt, they'll reciprocate the love.
3️⃣Host a contest. Give your clients the opportunity to enter into something fun and interactive. The entry "fee" for example could simply be a referral, and the more they submit, the more likely they are to win a prize.
4️⃣Giveaway gift cards. Gift a small token of appreciation (i.e. gift card to Starbucks or Target) to your client for referring their people to attend a discovery call with you.
5️⃣Extend discount coupons! Apply a courtesy discount to those repeat clients who for example have signed up for a monthly subscription to your product.
